Contractors

IR35 is the week, not the clause.

Eight questions about how the engagement actually runs. Then talk to us before you treat a contract as gospel.

  1. 1. Can you send a genuine substitute who the client would actually accept?

  2. 2. Does the client decide how, when and where the work is done?

  3. 3. Are you treated like staff, org chart, appraisals, staff perks?

  4. 4. Do you carry financial risk, fix your own mistakes unpaid, own kit, quote a price?

  5. 5. Is this engagement the only one you have, and has it run for years?

  6. 6. Can the client move you onto other work that was never in the contract?

  7. 7. Do you mainly use their laptop, badge and email address?

  8. 8. Is there a long notice period and little room to walk away mid-sprint?

We do not decide your status. We help you read the contract and the week. The client often holds the determination in the private sector.
