Self Assessment
In the package
Self Assessment is how HMRC collects Income Tax from people who are not on a simple PAYE-only life. We prepare and file the return for freelancers, landlords and company directors, then tell you the payment-on-account number before it becomes a surprise.

Self Assessment
The return and the year-end figures prepared as one story.
Property pages, finance-cost restriction, and the 31 January date.
Dividends, a second income, a company car, PAYE is rarely the whole picture.
No onboarding theatre. We take the file, put a named accountant on it, and the deadlines go in the diary.
P60s, dividend vouchers, rental statements, bank, a checklist, not a treasure hunt.
You approve the tax figure. Then we file.
Payment dates and next year’s records sit in writing.

In plain English
Online filing is 31 January after the tax year. Tax is due the same day, with a second payment on account on 31 July. We prepare SA100 and the supplementary pages you actually need for freelancers, landlords and directors in Lancashire and Cheshire, then show you those two dates before you spend the money.
Invent mileage. Claim a ‘home office’ that would not survive a question. File a return you have not approved. If a year is late we register you, file it, and talk to HMRC about Time to Pay if the bill is sharp. Waiting is the expensive option.
Online filing is 31 January after the tax year. Paper is 31 October. Pay any tax by 31 January, and the second payment on account by 31 July.
Often yes: dividends, a second property, or a high salary can all trigger Self Assessment. We will tell you if you can stay out of it.
We register you, file the late return and talk to HMRC about Time to Pay if the bill is sharp. Waiting makes the penalty worse.
